Founder of Ron’s Pharmacy Services, Ron has been working in long-term care pharmacy since 1975. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy from University of Southern California, and resides in San Diego, CA. Ron spends his free time with his wife Janna, his daughter and 2 grandchildren.

Bob Smith

Chief Operating Officer

A pharmacist and thirty-year veteran of senior management in institutional pharmacy, Bob joined the Ron’s Pharmacy team in 2015. He and his wife Jackie and daughter Jordan relocated from Maryland in the fall of 2015 and reside in the San Diego area.

Krishna Patel, R.Ph., Pharm.D.

Director of Operations

Krishna Patel graduated from the University of Sciences in Philadelphia in 2010 earning her Doctor of Pharmacy. She has worked in the long-term care pharmacy industry for almost 10 years. Krishna works diligently to ensure pharmacy operations support the facilities and residents of our communities.

Kathleen Carvalho-Bacalan, R.Ph., Pharm.D.

Pharmacist in Charge

Kathleen attended the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center where she received both her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees. Her background is in retail and outpatient pharmacy. As a 21-year pharmacy veteran, she has been a manager and pharmacist in charge for 12 of those years. Over the past year, Kathleen has transitioned to long-term care pharmacy and is quickly becoming an integral part of Guardian’s growth and success.

Danielle Carlson

Director of Sales and Marketing

Danielle grew up in Southern California and graduated from the University of Washington in Seattle. She has worked in long-term care since 2016 and has been with Guardian Pharmacy since 2020. She plays a vital role in marketing and customizing pharmacy services to match the needs of our facilities and residents.

Erin Meza

Director, Finance & Administration

Erin is a native San Diegan and graduated from SDSU. With 10 years of experience in hospitality finance, she made the pivot to long-term care in 2021. She is responsible for providing on-going real-time financial analysis to pharmacy operations as well as to the President and COO to allow them to run the pharmacy more efficiently. She plays a critical role in managing all aspects of billing and collections.

Ulysses Orellana, LVN

Account Manager Supervisor

Ulysses has dedicated his career to long-term healthcare. Over nine years at the Anaheim pharmacy, he excelled, climbing the ranks to become Account Manager Supervisor, all while pursuing his nursing license. His multifaceted role includes pivotal contributions to customer engagement, system analysis, and compliance, embodying a commitment to excellence in long term care.
